DR. WILLIAM "BILL" BALDWIN, ADS, DMin, PhD,
65, died on Saturday, April 24, 2004 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He will be remembered by some for his deep voice, handsome face, and six-foot-
five stature, but for those who knew him best, Bill will be remembered
for his generosity, love, and kindness. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Bill lived
in Southern California until moving to Enterprise, FL in November of 1991.
Following a career in dentistry, Bill became a pastoral counselor and later
earned a doctorate in psychology. He was a research pioneer in the field
of dissociative states, including the process known as Spirit Releasement
Therapy and, as a result, he was a featured speaker at symposia and mental
health conferences all over the world. Bill authored several books including
"Spirit Releasement Therapy: A Technique Manual" and "Healing Lost Souls",
as well as textbooks and tapes for professional counselors. With his beloved
wife, partner, and soul- mate, Judith, he conducted a successful counseling
and training practice in Volusia County. In addition to his wife, Bill
is survived by his children Wendy Whitefoord, Mark Baldwin, Terri Loge,
Lisa Starks, and Chuck Davis, as well as seven grandchildren. A memorial
service will be held for family and friends Friday, April 30, 2004 at Cocoa
Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be sent to the
Center for Human Relations (501 C-3), P.O. Box 4061, Enterprise, FL 32725.
Pursuant to his wishes, all donations will be used to establish a scholarship
fund in Bill's name. Arrangements are by Volusia County Cremation Services.
